Capt. Rachit Jain

Founder and Managing Director, Rachit is an astute tanker industry professional with extensive knowledge of ship management, marine operations and quality assurance.

A Master Mariner, his previous experience includes stints with oil majors ExxonMobil and BP in roles spanning vetting, incident investigations, inspections and Quality Assurance.

Rachit began his shipping career at sea in 1996 and sailed for 11 years across a variety of tanker vessels, rising to the rank of Master Mariner.

Master Mariner with over 20 years of sailing experience across vessel types including Bulk Carriers and Tankers.

Vijay moved ashore in 2014 as a trainer at a maritime institute in India, where he worked for a year before joining Safe Lanes in 2015. He presently heads our India operations.

A nifty maritime professional heading the Marine Assurance department at Safe Lanes.

A Master Mariner with deep knowledge of Quality Assurance and ship operations, Nitin sailed for the majority of his career with BP Shipping before moving ashore in 2013, gaining varied experience across shore-side roles.

Sahil Puri

Master Mariner with 15 years of sailing experience, Sahil co-founded Safe Lanes Innovation with a vision to focus on innovation in Quality Management.

After sailing on Chemical Tankers, Sahil gained 5 years of shore experience in Safety, Quality, Vetting and Chemical Tanker Operations before joining Safe Lanes. He holds a Dual Degree Executive MBA from BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo & Nanyang Business School, Singapore, and completed a Management Program on Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Haas Business School, University of California.
